Living on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington has been a blessing to us in retirement. Most people think the Olympic Peninsula's weather is the same as Seattle's famed cloudy rainy weather, but surprisingly, we get only about 23" of annual rainfall, we usually are about 5-10 degrees cooler in the summertime with slightly cooler but drier winter temps. This means we have great gardening weather 9 months out of the year.
